The plastic bumper is replaced by a blend of aramid fibers, the most impact-resistant material, and a PTFE treatment that adds glide to protect the frame from floor and wall abrasion. Without a bumper, the racquet becomes much smoother and cuts through the air better for maximum swing speed and power. With plastic replaced by structural material, there are more fibers in the racquet for more responsiveness and less vibration for more comfort.
